Congratulations to the 40 individuals who were selected as Emerging Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Medicine for their career accomplishments, involvement in the Academy, mentoring of residents and students, and participation in charitable work. The Emerging Leaders will be recognized at the 2020 Annual Assembly.
The CMS Innovation Center announced a Request for Applications for the new Primary Care First payment model demonstration to begin in 2021. (Review FAQs.) The model includes a Seriously Ill Population (SIP) option that draws on AAHPM’s work to advance an alternative payment model for serious illness care.
