AAHPM Week in Review: August 13-17

The staff has put together this synopsis of AAHPM activities from the week of August 13, 2018:

  • AAHPM, along with its registry partners, CAPC, GPCQA, NPCRC and PCQN, was awarded a $2.4 million 3-year grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to create and deploy a unified registry for palliative care. We believe it will improve the care and well-being of people with serious illness and their caregivers by delivering timely and useful patient-centered data that identifies and promotes best practices in palliative care.
  • If you attended the Intensive Board Review Course or Pedi-Innovate, please complete your evaluation before the deadline of September 24 and remember to print or download any handouts that you would like to save.
  • AAHPM staff members participated in several professional development activities, including the Global Leadership Summit, Association Forum, the American Society of Association Executives Annual Meeting and an e-Learning Strategies and Technology Showcase, which brought educators and software and process experts together to think more creatively about training and education. Executive Director Steve Smith served as an invited presenter at the ASAE meeting.
  • Have you seen the cool new AAHPM socks? Many members purchased them at the Summer Courses and are now proudly wearing them to the envy of their colleagues. Missed out? Get these limited edition socks today at aahpm.org. They make great gifts for new staff members!
