AAHPM Week in Review: October 8-12

It’s been a busy week at AAHPM. Here’s an update of activities during the week of October 8, 2018:

AAHPM physician members can help determine the future of the Academy by voting in the AAHPM election. Join the 13% of eligible members who have already selected their candidates. Voting closes on Monday, October 15 at midnight CT.

Interested in getting more involved with AAHPM? Consider becoming a Community Leader. This is the perfect way to meet other hospice and palliative care professionals, stay informed of the work of the Academy, and be a part of the innovation in the field. 184 content experts have been selected to present their scientific and quality improvement paper and poster presentations at the 2019 Annual Assembly. Notifications were sent to submitters/primary authors this week.

45 physician leaders gathered at AAHPM Ascend to learn about leading and managing through change. They listened to HPM Visionary Martha Twaddle discuss her leadership journey, worked on how to create environments of safety, value and communication with Katie Neuendorf, and participated in small group discussions with HPM leaders.
