Past President Ron Crossno is AAHPM’s representative on the American Medical Association (AMA) Pain Care Task Force which met in Chicago last week. The meeting featured vibrant discussion as members societies worked together to examine barriers to evidence-informed pain care and define opportunities to improve payer and public policy and advance education and training.

The call for nominations for the Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Awards is open for physicians who have demonstrated a commitment to patients near the end of life through their doctoring, research and service to their community. The awards will be given to one senior physician, one mid-career physician, and three early-career physicians. Nominations will be accepted through December 31, 2019.
