AAHPM Week in Review: July 8-12, 2019

Looking for affordable high-quality education for your team? Consider the 2019 Virtual Conference, Overcoming the Challenges of Community-Based Palliative Care. AAHPM is partnering with NHPCO and HPNA to address key clinical and program issues on July 17-18. Registration is open with discounts for members.

Enjoy summer savings with 20% off any product in the AAHPM online store. Don’t delay, purchase your favorite AAHPM product for yourself – or a colleague. Use the code “YAYSUMMER” to receive the discount (through July 18).

The Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA) – legislation crafted by AAHPM – was reintroduced in the U.S. Senate by Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) as S. 2080. (Access a bill summary.) Help the Academy build momentum in the Senate. Use AAHPM’s Legislative Action Center to e-mail and tweet your lawmakers to request their support.

Leaders from AAHPM and HPNA came together to create a new, more inclusive hashtag for the 2020 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care: #hapc20. Our field continues to grow and evolve and we are excited to welcome this new change. Read the blog post for more information.
