Who has most influenced your work and how have they shaped your contributions?
The patients and families that I care for have shaped my perspective on how people navigate a serious illness. Hearing patients and families tell their stories and share their perspectives has led me to have a deeper appreciation of the ups and downs that patients/families face. It motivates me to always place the patient/family at the center of my mission in all of my roles which range from being a bedside clinician to my larger administrative roles.
