The AMA Pain Care Task Force and Opioid Task Force held a joint meeting to consider merging efforts. AAHPM’s representatives Ron Crossno, MD HMDC FAAFP FAAHPM (PCTF) and Chad Kollas, MD FACP FAAHPM (OTF) joined the multispecialty discussion of potential new areas for the groups’ combined work, including health inequities/disparities, multisector collaboration, data/surveillance, and workforce. A continued focus on access to care, provider education, and messaging is expected.
