Week in Review: August 3-7, 2020

Register to be a part of the AAHPM free Virtual Career Fair on August 11, 10 am to 6 pm ET. Space is still available for employers looking to expand their hospice and palliative care workforce. Individuals looking for new opportunities will be able to meet with employers, search open positions, chat live with recruiters, and learn from helpful video recordings.

The 2020 AAHPM Ascend leadership program has gone virtual. It will be offered twice a week over a three-week period (October 4-22) and will include a mix of live interactive webinars, pre-recorded sessions, and small group discussions. No matter where you are in your leadership journey, Ascend will deliver the tools and insights you need to increase your confidence as a leader.

Participate in the Virtual Board Prep Study Thread on AAHPM Connect if you’re preparing to certify/recertify for the board exam. This group will present board style cased-based questions, allowing for both peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and direct interaction and Q&A with experts in the field. Simply add #HPMBoards20 when posting or replying to messages in the Open Forum to follow the discussion.

Applications are now open to become a Fellow of the Academy. If you are a physician who is active in the Academy and board certified in HPM, you can apply to achieve the FAAHPM distinction, one of the highest honors the Academy bestows on its physician members. Applications are due September 11.
