Week in Review: August 10-14, 2020

Recognize your colleagues who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of hospice and palliative care with an AAHPM Award nomination.  Deadline for the 2021 Awards program is August 21.  Click here to nominate an individual.

Applications are now open to become a Fellow of the Academy. If you are a physician who is active in the Academy and board certified in HPM, you can apply to achieve the FAAHPM distinction, one of the highest honors the Academy bestows on its physician members. Applications are due September 11.

Participate in the Virtual Board Prep Study Thread on AAHPM Connect if you’re preparing to certify/recertify for the board exam. This group will present board style cased-based questions, allowing for both peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and direct interaction and Q&A with experts in the field. Simply add #HPMboards20 when posting or replying to messages in the Open Forum to follow the discussion.

Several AAHPM staff members participated in the American Society of Association Executives Virtual Annual Meeting. Wendy-Jo Toyama and Emily Muse were invited to present separate sessions on leadership and communities.
