Call for proposals for both the Annual Assembly and State of the Science research symposium are now open. Read the guidelines for the Annual Assembly call for case sessions and call for scholar e-posters (due November 1) and the State of the Science call for abstracts (due October 23).

55 hospice and palliative care professionals gathered at the AAHPM Leadership Forum: Ascend to learn about leading and managing through change. They listened Tammie Quest discuss her leadership journey, worked on how to create environments of safety, value and communication with Katie Neuendorf, and participated in small group discussions. All participants said they would recommend the program to their peers.

The call for nominations for the Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Awards is open for physicians who have demonstrated a commitment to patients near the end of life through their doctoring, research and service to their community. The awards will be given to one senior physician, one mid-career physician, and three early-career physicians. Nominations will be accepted through December 31.
