AAHPM Week in Review: November 5-9

An update of AAHPM activities during the week of November 5, 2018:

The annual Call for Volunteers closes soon. Share your skills and expertise in hospice and palliative medicine while growing professionally and advancing the field. Volunteer opportunities include service on a committee or an advisory/working group. Deadline to complete the online application is November 14.

The AAHPM Leadership and Career Development Resource Guide is now available to download. If you have been seeking resources to help you grow as a leader, this guide includes information for future, developing, and seasoned leaders. Also, consider attending AAHPM Ignite to learn strategies and tactics for applying a strength-based approach to individual and team challenges.

AAHPM exhibited at the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) National Seminar this week in Orlando. It was a great opportunity for Academy leaders, including AAHPM President Tammie Quest and staff members Steve Smith and Katherine Ast, to talk with attendees about the Academy and the upcoming Annual Assembly. Thanks to all the members who stopped by to say hello.

AAHPM staff members Emily Muse and Elizabeth Smith took part in the Higher Logic Super Forum in DC. They will apply what they learned to enhance our member platform, AAHPM Connect, and make your experience as a member even better.
