AAHPM Week in Review: May 27-31, 2019

AAHPM leaders and fellow representatives of the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care member organizations met this week with CMS Innovation Center staff to discuss the Serious Illness Population (SIP) option under the new Primary Care First payment model. They discussed SIP model parameters, offering joint recommendations regarding essential components of care, patient eligibility, participating providers, payment, and quality measurement.

Nominate a colleague as an Emerging Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Nominees must be an AAHPM member for at least 2 years, have worked in the HPM field for at least 5 but not more than 10 years, and have current HPM board certification by ABMS or AOA or certification from HMDCB. Submit your nomination by June 21.
