AAHPM Week in Review: May 13-17, 2019

Nominate a colleague as an Emerging Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Nominees must be an AAHPM member for at least 2 years, have worked in the HPM field for at least 5 but not more than 10 years, and have current HPM board certification by ABMS or AOA or certification from HMDCB. Submit your nomination by June 21.

 

The American Board of Internal Medicine hosted a Summit this week with representatives from ABIM specialty and subspecialty leadership, including AAHPM staff members Joe Rotella and Julie Bruno. Discussion focused around the continued evolution of Maintenance of Certification. HPM physicians will have the option of maintaining certification via the traditional 10 year exam or a new ABIM Knowledge Check-In 2 Year assessment.
